Tars woke up today and the first thing she said was, “I can’t WAIT for scrunchies to make a come back. I’m soo good at makin em.” Okkk then, Tars. It instantly reminded me of the Sex and the City episode where Carrie and Berger got in a fight over the fact that no woman in NYC would be caught dead in a scrunchy.
Then, I was reminded of my childhood, where I was constantly being taught to sew them. Take a long tube of fabric, put a safety pin in the end, thread the saftey pin through the loop, sew together, and TaDa! I bore a scrunchy. I had absolutely no interest then, and NO interest now.
Anyway, just made my day to know that was the first thing my mom thought of upon waking. Also, Nick is now rockin the euro soccer playa pony. Maybe Tars could make some scrunchies for him? Just a thought.
We had an awesome day with the fam shopping and eating out. If only my dada were here, it would have been perfect! Miss you Faj.
