I spent yesterday afternoon in Little Italy in downtown San Diego. What a cute spot!
We brunched at an amazing restaurant called Craft + Commerce, that I just had to blog about! The food and the menu were amazing, so many choices, it was hard to come up with just one! It felt like this place was pulled right out of SOHO NYC. The crowd was great, the bartender was great, the drinks were great, and the food was great. What more to ask? (I actually didn’t drink, so some of the “greats” were just in there for good measure).
I ordered the Grapefruit Brûlée, which tasted amazing!
Too good to be true! Click here for a recipe: here.
I also splurged and got eggs sunny side up, with amazing homemade bread to dip. Growing up, my mom always made “dippy” eggs for Nick, while I was stuck with the egg whites. I would watch him dunk his buttered toast into those eggs, and my mouth would water.![]()
The toast, oh the toast. So worth the extra love handles today.
My girlfriend ordered the hot cereal bowl, which I found to be an odd choice, until I tasted it! Hot cereal at Craft + Commerce includes Nutella! Also included: bananas, apricuts, quinoa flakes, granola, berries, cinnamon, maple, and warm milk. It was better than ice cream. I promise.
If you are in the San Diego area, you must stop here for a visit! Your tummy will oblige.
