Day 221: We Bought a Zoo

I’ve had practically no down time since I’ve been in Ohio, but I have made time to watch two “zoo” movies. Zoolander and We Bought a Zoo.

Believe it or not, I’d never seen Zoolander before. Only clips, which is ironic for the industry I’ve been in the past 3 years!

We Bought a Zoo I’ve seen before on a flight to LA. I cried so hard and was snotting that it was an embarrassment to those sitting next to me, so I pretended like I had a bad cold. Someone told me high elevation makes a person more emotional than normal, and I believed it. That is, until I watched the film again last night, was NOT on an airplane, and had an even stronger emotional response. Hmm.

The craziest part of movie night was while watching We Bought a Zoo, the largest spider I’ve ever seen came charging towards me on the couch. This guy was the Usain Bolt of spiders. Faster than a speeding bullet…oh wait, that’s superman. Anyway- it was quite entertaining catching this fella. Then figuring out what to do with it during the worst thunderstorm! I swear you could see the hair on his legs.
