So Obama announces he supports gay marriage (finally!), and I thank him for that. Then he decides to come to Studio City, more like to my neighborhood, and close down every street, leaving me stranded at home with no social life this evening. Obama, I DO NOT thank you for that!! Stay put in Washington, DC where you belong!
With the news saying it could take hours to get down the street, I’ve had to entertain myself at home. That involves lots of snacking. Like unhealthy amounts. My latest obsession is Snapea Crisps. You see them all up and down the isles of Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, but I had no idea what I was missing out on. These tiny green bean salad/edamame things are devine! They are like chips, but baked snap peas with oil and salt. They taste BETTER than french fries, (well maybe not better but pretty darn close) and are moderately good for you.
Also, I’m entertaining myself through online shopping. Jeffrey Campbell released their “Hot Child in the City: Summer Lookbook,” and the shoes are to die for! Take a lookie:

Funny story:
George Clooney is hosting the fundraiser for Obama this evening. Grace and I hike almost every day at Fryman Canyon, and she heard George lives in a gorgeous house right along the path. We would joke every time we passed the house and say, “Let’s see if Stacy is home,” or “Hmm wonder what George is up to today” but could barely see anything because of the layout and it’s gated entrance. Maybe he actually lives there because it’s right where everything is shut down! You best believe I will be hiking wayyy more often to George’s house this spring. Stacy who?!
